Bournemouth Gardens
The Upper, Central and Lower Gardens - located in the Bourne Valley, between the Borough Boundary and Bournemouth Pier. The Gardens retain much of their original character and are grade II listed in the English Heritage Register of Parks and Gardens. They offer a range of facilities including tennis, putting, mini-golf, children's play, art exhibitions, a café, an ice cream kiosk and the tethered balloon.
Bournemouth International Centre
The Bournemouth International Centre (BIC), the Pavilion Theatre and the Pier Theatre are venues for an extremely wide range of functions and events. These include shows, plays, ballet, opera, banquets, civic functions, wrestling, ballroom dancing, conferences, exhibitions, private functions, etc.
Out and About
All the above attractions are within a couple of minutes walk from our hotel. If you fancy venturing out a little further afield there are many other local attractions, some of which are highlighted below.
- Poole Harbour - The 'Lakeland of Dorset' and one of the foremost yachting centres on the south coast
- Sandbanks - A sandy peninsula reminiscent of Florida. A windsurfer's paradise
- New Forest - Over 90,000 acres of beautiful forest land and moors, easily reached by car
- Studland (and the Purbeck Hills) - A secluded gem of a village reached by ferry from Sandbanks. Ideal for bathing and picnics
- Christchurch - Beautiful priory church - two rivers with excellent fishing
- Golf Courses - Fourteen fine golf courses within a radius of fifteen miles
